Mastering the Polo

Nine years ago, we started with a simple plan: one crew neck in three colors. But almost immediately, we received two loud requests: "more colors!" and "make a polo!".

Making a polo was a challenge. With many parts and a complex design, we knew we couldn't just use our classic fabric, add a collar and buttons, and call it a day. It had to be done right.

So we learned, step by step

First try: We paired our Supima cotton with a new smart pique fabric - brushed inside, pique outside, weighted just right. People liked it.

Later, we went traditional with the Vintage Polo - crisp pique, knit collars, one-time exclusive. You liked this one even more.

With the Vintage Polo, we also made a knit polo using slow knit German machines. These were heavy, seasonal, hard to make but those who got them really loved them.

This year, something clicked. We took our classic mercerized Supima fabric, made it slightly heavier for better drape, used knit collars and those matte buttons from our henleys. It felt both traditional and distinctly March. It became one of our top three sellers.

We hope you like the direction of these new polos. Here's to a great 2025 🎉
